In my past years of school everytime I wrote a paper It was in MLA format but it was not always the correct MLA format. I never did really learn in depth what MLA format really was, I was familiar with it and wrote papers to what I assumed MLA was. Throughout this semester we had to use MLA format and I learned and got very comfortable with it. In my chosen work sample, which I chose, our final project essay really shows how much I have grown and understand how to work with and use MLA format. It shows my ability and how I have correctly learned how to cite and use sources. In this project we had to work with 3 different sources, so I was tasked with having to cite 3 sources on the works cited page and make sure I used them in text citations as well. Different from our other projects, this one we had to work with 2 of our classmates’ writings, so I also had to be able to correctly cite their writing in the works cited. When it came to the basic format and sentence error of MLA format I felt over the semester and getting to work more and more on it, it became natural to me. From each and every draft from the beginning of the year up until our last project you can see my development and growth, which I took pride in. It was a little difficult at first being new to actually using MLA format the correct way but it has made me a better writer because of the way we used and learned it.
